Empowering Women’s Event 2012

Did you know that unlike a butterfly, a dragonfly morphs through several stages of growth and change?  Each time the dragonfly finishes another season of growth, it literally climbs out of its previous skin, leaving the empty shell of its skin behind.  As maturing believers, this is a beautiful illustration of how God directs His work within the human soul.  There are seasons and layers of growth, and a continual shedding of former thought processes, actions, and perspectives.  We gradually leave the old behind, emerging into healthier, stronger, more beautiful people.  Unlike the butterfly who changes but one time, the dragonfly will shed its skin several times over the course of its life.  So, too, if we are growing, will we.  Change IS possible, but only one step, one season, one skin at a time.  This is my teaching session from the Empowering Women 2012 event.  Enjoy!
